6/12:Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Mychal Givens was charged with his third loss of the season Monday against the Red Sox. Givens entered the game tied in the 11th inning with runners on first and second and two outs. He walked the bases loaded, but got a strikeout to get out of the inning. He stayed on to work the 12th but gave up two runs on two hits and a hit batsman. His final line for the night was two runs on two hits with a walk, a hit batsman and a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Givens has posted a career-high 4.36 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 33 innings pitched with an 0-3 record, one save and seven holds on the season. He is an important member of the Orioles bullpen but is not all that valuable to fantasy players.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
