Mike Davis Was A Stud In Arizona
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks running back Mike Davis was a surprise starter against the Cardinals on Sunday after usual starter Chris Carson was a late scratch, but Davis did the job like it was always his to begin with. Davis hauled the ball 21 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and he snagged four passes for another 23 yards through the air. Davis entered the game as the team's No. 3 running back on the depth chart, having carried the ball just three times in the team's first three games. However, he was vaulted over rookie Rashaad Penny to act as the bell cow for the division game. Head coach Pete Carroll has already said Carson should be back for next week's game, but if Carson continues to struggle with injuries or ineffectiveness, Davis certainly looks like he could step right in at any time.
