Mickey Moniak Dealing With Sore Foot
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mickey Moniak (foot) is dealing with a sore foot after fouling a ball off of it, but he has been playing through the issue. It's part of the reason why the team called up Jordyn Adams. Moniak is likely to get a day off in the coming days. The 25-year-old didn't play at all in Wednesday's 12-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves, and he could also be held out for the start of a new series against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. It doesn't sound like Moniak is in danger of landing on the injured list, but it's something to watch. Moniak has been having a breakout season in his first full season in Anaheim, and he hit .309 (29-for-94) with three homers, five doubles, 14 RBI, two stolen bases and 11 runs scored in 23 games in July. Hopefully playing through his recent foot injury won't limit him offensively.
