8 months agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Michael Pineda struggled in a 6-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Pineda allowed five runs over five innings while striking out five batters. He wound up taking the loss, dropping his record to 4-4 on the season, to go along with a 5.02 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 67 strikeouts in 80 2/3 innings of work. Pineda's results have been rather inconsistent this season, making him tough to trust in fantasy formats. He will hope for a better outcome when he takes on the Chicago White Sox in his next start. He will be a low-end streaming option for that outing.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
