St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Michael McGreevy worked to add 15 pounds of muscle and arrived to spring training this year in great shape after making his major-league debut in 2024. The former first-round pick (18th overall) in 2021 went 3-0 over four outings (three starts) late last year and is now hoping to potentially win an Opening Day roster spot with St. Louis out of spring training. "He looks good [this Spring Training]. He put on some weight and had a really good offseason, and I'm excited to see what's coming out of that arm," manager Oliver Marmol said. The 24-year-old McGreevy had an eye-popping 62.5% ground-ball rate in his small sample size in the big leagues in addition to a miniscule 2.3% walk rate. McGreevy doesn't have overpowering stuff and probably won't ever be a big strikeout guy, but he has some decent upside in NL-only and dynasty leagues this year, even if he doesn't win an Opening Day rotation spot.--Keith Hernandez
