Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray will get the start in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Qualifying Round against the Canadiens. "Matt has shown an ability to be at his best when the stakes are high, and that should provide some confidence going into a playoff environment like this. We'll take each game as it comes, but we feel good about the goaltending tandem we have," said head coach Mike Sullivan. Tristan Jarry was the other candidate to make the start in net after posting impressive numbers during the regular season, including a 20-12-1 record, three shutouts, 2.43 goals against average and .921 save percentage through 33 appearances. Murray has enjoyed success in the Playoffs during the Penguins back-to-back Stanley Cup winning years in 2016 and 2017, while serving as a solid start option in fantasy pools against the No. 12 seed Canadiens in the opening game of the best-of-five series.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
