Matt Breida Scores Giants Only Touchdown
2 years agoNew York Giants running back Matt Breida scored the team's only touchdown in the 38-7 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Saturday night. He carried the ball only four times for 23 yards and the touchdown, adding one catch on one target for a 19-yard gain. The 27-year-old will become a free agent in March after playing on a one-year deal with the Giants in 2022. He finished the regular season with only 54 carries for 220 yards (career-low 4.1 yards per carry) and one touchdown while adding 20 catches (25 targets) for 118 yards over 17 games (one start) as Saquon Barkley's primary backup. If he re-signs in New York, Breida will only be worth handcuffing to Barkley in deeper leagues.
