7 months agoThe Washington Nationals activated first baseman Matt Adams (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday and optioned infielder/outfielder Adrian Sanchez to Double-A Harrisburg in a corresponding move. Adams is starting at first base and is hitting fifth on Wednesday against Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom. The power-hitting Adams will likely share first base duties with Howie Kendrick until Ryan Zimmerman (foot) returns from the injured list. The 30-year-old is hitting .250 with three home runs and 13 RBI in 64 at-bats this year. He's a decent DFS candidate against certain right-handers for his pop. Wednesday isn't one of those times against deGrom.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
