Marwin Gonzalez Remains Out Friday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox super-utility man Marwin Gonzalez (hamstring) is out of the starting lineup for the third straight game on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies after suffering from hamstring tightness on Monday. Gonzalez remains day-to-day for now, but he hasn't been much help to fantasy managers this year, even in AL-only affairs. He's hitting just .206/.287/.298 with two home runs, 18 RBI and three steals in 218 at-bats. Christian Arroyo, who was just recalled again with Danny Santana going on the injured list, will start at second base and hit seventh on Friday against Phillies right-hander Vince Velasquez. Arroyo has handled the bat much better than Gonzalez this year and has five long balls and 21 RBI in 136 at-bats, but there's limited DFS upside due to his lineup placement.
