Boston Red Sox infield prospect Marcelo Mayer notched his fifth consecutive multi-hit performance in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader for Triple-A Worcester, then followed that up with a sixth straight multi-hit effort in Game 2. The left-handed slugger was 4-for-6 on the day with a walk, a home run, two RBI, and a run scored, now slashing .277/.318/.518 with six home runs and a minor-league-leading 26 RBI through 20 games. There's no clear path to playing time for the 22-year-old, however, he was at DH in Game 1 and at second base in Game 2; with shortstop being his primary position, it's possible he could have some sort of utility role whenever he gets the call in order to get him major league at-bats. As long as he stays hot, the closer his debut becomes, so fantasy managers should stay vigilant if looking for offensive help. --Jarod Rupp
