Magneuris Sierra Looks To Make Impact On Marlins Lineup In 2017
7 years agoMagneuris Sierra was brought to Miami in the Marcell Ozuna trade, and the Marlins are hopeful that the slender outfielder can fit in with the club right away. The 21-year-old Sierra finished with a .317 average and five RBI in 60 at-bats with the St. Louis Cardinals last season. His minor league offensive numbers don't exactly jump out at you, but his 51 stolen bases over the last two seasons offer the Marlins some hope going forward. Miami lost stolen base king Dee Gordon to the Seattle Mariners in the fire sale, but Sierra's ability to steal bags can help make a difference in the lineup.
