Luis Urias, Angel Perdomo Test Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Luis Urias and pitcher Angel Perdomo tested positive for COVID-19 prior to their intake at summer camp and are now in the protocol, according to manager Craig Counsell. Urias is recovered from an injured hamate bone in his hand, but now he'll need to quarantine until he tests negative for the virus. The former top prospect of the Padres has an impressive minor league track record but has struggled in limited major league exposure. He's expected to have a shot at regular playing time for the Brew Crew in 2020 and is a post-hype fantasy sleeper as a middle infielder. The news of his positive test could make him even more of a bargain in drafts. The left-handed Perdomo, 26, had a 4.28 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 107 strikeouts and 46 walks in 47 relief outings (69 1/3 innings) for Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A San Antonio last year.
