Luis Robert Retreats To The Bench
Luis Robert is on the bench on Wednesday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert has been in and out of the lineup (mostly out) with hand/wrist injuries in the month of September, and his production has suffered as a result. He has just one hit in 23 at-bats with eight strikeouts in seven games played in September to drop his season line to .284/.319/.426 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 380 at-bats. The 25-year-old slugger has played just twice in the team's last six games. AJ Pollock will patrol center field and bat seventh on Wednesday against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie. Pollock has been much hotter at the plate this month, going 20-for-68 (.294) with four homers, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and a steal in 18 games.
