6 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Lucas Duda is believed to be destined for another team this month, according to Jeffrey Flanagan. Flanagan quotes an AL East scout as saying that he expects a team to bite on the concept of Duda as a bench bat, and with KC looking to start a full rebuild, they'll likely be willing to take a pretty minimal offer for Duda. Duda has spent about half the season on the disabled list due to plantar fasciitis, but his bat still packs a wallop from the left side of the plate. That's a valuable skill to many teams. With him only on a one-year deal and rookie Hunter Dozier needing playing time, it would be pretty surprising if Duda's still with the Royals after the deadline.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
