Lions Acquire Denzel Mims From Jets
1 year agoThe Detroit Lions acquired wide receiver Denzel Mims and a seventh-round pick in 2025 from the New York Jets on Wednesday in exchange for a conditional sixth-rounder, according to sources. Several teams were interested in trading for Mims, including the Patriots, Steelers and Cowboys, but it will be the Lions who land him. The 25-year-old former second-rounder never made an impact in his three years with Gang Green, catching 42 of 92 targets for 676 yards and no touchdowns in 30 games (15 starts). A change of scenery might do him good, but he'll still be off the fantasy radar to begin the 2023 season while competing for a depth role behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds, and Marvin Jones Jr. Promising second-year wideout Jameson Williams will also be returning from suspension eventually.
