Lance Lynn Looking To Rebound Against Detroit
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn had his latest start on June 26 against the Seattle Mariners shortened during a suspended game. Lynn only went three innings in that one, striking out four and walking two while allowing no runs. The veteran right-hander will get the Detroit Tigers for the second time this season on Friday. In his first outing against them on June 3, he struck out six and walked two while giving up one earned run in six innings for the quality start and win. The 34-year-old has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year with a 2.06 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 90 strikeouts in 78 2/3 innings over his 14 starts. Lynn is generating more whiffs from his fastball/cutter combination and should be a must-start on Friday against Detroit.
