Kyle Hendricks Goes Eight Strong Innings Against Astros
6 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks capped off his terrific month of May with his fourth quality start in five tries on Wednesday. He shut down the Houston Astros, allowing just four hits and one earned run while striking out seven across eight innings of work. In total, Hendricks went 4-0 in May with an ERA of just 1.81. That's a stark contrast to his abysmal April, where he went 1-4 with a 5.33 ERA. While this recent five-start stretch is certainly promising, you may be best off selling high on Hendricks while you have the opportunity to. He's a fine fifth or sixth starter in most leagues, but if you can find someone to pay for him as if he's a borderline ace due to this recent hot streak, go for it.
