Kyle Hendricks Allows One Run In No-Decision
7 years agoChicago Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks completed five innings of one-run ball in a no-decision Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hendricks was lifted in the fifth inning with the Cubs threatening but the offense couldn't capitalize. For the afternoon, he allowed three hits, walked two and punched out four. Hendricks holds a strong 3.48 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 7.1 K/9 through 13 starts. He's never been a strikeout pitcher, but those ratios will play in any fantasy league. His durability is a concern; however, Hendricks has lasted past five innings just once in his last five outings. His next opportunity comes in a weekend visit against the St. Louis Cardinals.
