Kyle Gibson Struggles In Loss To Detroit
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson had a tough time in his Saturday start against the Detroit Tigers. Gibson allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings while walking two. He did manage to strike out eight batters to salvage his day. It goes down as a disappointing outing against a Detroit lineup that has not been very fearsome this season. Gibson took the loss, dropping his record to 6-3 with a 4.14 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts in 67 1/3 innings of work. He will look to get back on track in his next start, which will be against the Kansas City Royals. Gibson will be a recommended streaming option for the start, despite his poor outing on Saturday.
