Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan switched up all three defensive pairs in practice on Wednesday, most notably separating Kris Letang and Brian Dumoulin from the top pairing. Letang was skating with Marcus Pettersson in practice, while Dumoulin was paired with Jack Johnson. "There's always competition for roles and ice time," Sullivan said. "That's the nature of the business we're in. I don't think we're any different than any other team in the League." The third pairing will be a combination of Olli Maatta with either Juuos Riikola or Chad Ruhwedel, unless Justin Schultz (leg) is ready to return. Pettersson is the big winner in terms of fantasy appeal, as his power-play time should increase.--Daniel Dobish
