Toronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Ken Giles was activated off of the injured list prior to Friday’s contest versus the Mets. Giles had been on the IL since July 27 due to a right forearm strain, having allowed two runs in 1 ⅔ frames earlier this season. How the Toronto relief corps shakes out upon his return remains to be seen, but Giles will likely become a significant contributor over the final two-plus weeks. Aggressive season-long fantasy managers can add him back to the fold with the hope that he can reclaim his closer’s gig prior to the conclusion of the regular season.--Jesse Borek
