Justin Verlander Holding Opponents To .151 Batting Average
6 years agoHouston Astros starter Justin Verlander allowed three runs in six innings in the Astros 8-7 marathon win against the Mariners on Thursday in 14 innings. Verlander (9-2) received the no-decision but continued his dominance on the mound. The 36-year-old is truly doing some remarkable things on the mound right now, posting career-bests in WHIP (0.74) and opponents batting average (.151) through his first 14 starts. He currently is the favorite to start the All-Star game for the American League and is a must-start in fantasy every time he takes the ball. Verlander will look to stay hot in his next start early next week.
