Ottawa Senators center Josh Norris is not on the ice for the team's morning practice Wednesday in Nova Scotia. Norris has been dealing with continued shoulder issues after re-injuring his surgically repaired shoulder a few weeks back. The 24-year-old was limited to just eight games last season before being shut down due to a shoulder injury after undergoing shoulder surgery prior to the season. Obviously, his latest setback has put his availability for the club's season opener on Oct. 11 versus the Carolina Hurricanes in serious doubt. It also wouldn't be surprising if Norris was placed on long-term injured reserve, a move that could also open up the cap space required to sign restricted free agent Shane Pinto.--Brenton Kemp
