Josh Naylor Lands On 10-Day Injured List
3 years agoThe Cleveland Indians placed outfielder Josh Naylor (ankle) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a closed fracture and dislocation of his right ankle after he collided with a teammate on Sunday. In a corresponding move, the Tribe recalled outfielder Oscar Mercado from Triple-A Columbus. Naylor will need surgery to fix the injury and is expected to miss extended time. The 24-year-old, who has seven home runs and 21 RBI on the year, isn't a must-stash in deeper leagues because it might be a while before we see him again. Mercado, who hit just .216/.327/.392 at Columbus, should share time in right field with Harold Ramirez. Ramirez is getting the start in right on Monday and is hitting sixth against Detroit Tigers right-hander Matt Manning.
