Josh Lowe Continues To Lead Off
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe is breaking out at the dish this season, slashing .305/.364/.625 with 10 bombs, 26 runs, 30 RBI, and eight steals over 37 games. Manager Kevin Cash has rewarded his play, moving him up to the leadoff spot the past three games, including Friday's 1-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. That might not last, as Yandy Diaz (groin) remains day-to-day and doesn't seem to need a stint on the injured list, so when the 31-year-old returns, he'll likely reclaim his role at the top of the lineup. However, fantasy managers can assume Lowe will lead off whenever Diaz is out of the lineup. The former first-round draft pick should be rostered in every league, with excellent numbers in every category.
