Leodalis De Vries Logs Two Hits, Drives in Three on Wednesday
Leodalis De Vries is making a good first impression with his new organization after coming to the A's in the Mason Miller trade. The team's top prospect went 2-for-5 on Wednesday with three RBI, and is now 7-for-25 (.280) with a double, a triple, six RBI, and three runs scored in six games for High-A Lansing. A 41.4 percent strikeout rate in those six contests is eye-opening, however, the youngster is just one of a handful of 18-year-olds at High-A, and some adjustment to the new system should be expected. With a well-rounded toolset, expect the switch-hitter to continue to climb the ladder over the next couple of seasons, and the Dominican should be stashed away in dynasty leagues.
