Jose Ramirez Triples, Steals Base in Friday's Win
Jose Ramirez helped lead the team in Friday's 3-1 win over the AL Central rival Detroit Tigers. Ramirez hit a first-inning RBI triple against Tigers right-hander Jackson Jobe to give the Guardians the lead, which they never relinquished. That was the lone hit of the game for Ramirez, who finished 1-for-4 with his 13th stolen base of the season. Ramirez has been red hot lately and is on a 16-game hitting streak. The six-time All-Star is off to an impressive start this year with a .306/.365/.522 line, nine home runs, and 28 RBI in 203 plate appearances. He'll face Tigers righty Casey Mize on Saturday. It's a tiny sample size, but Ramirez has owned Mize with two home runs in two at-bats.
