6 months agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro had a solid outing during the win over the Giants on Tuesday night, going 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was a rare efficient outing for the 25-year-old who is batting just .259 through 42 games this season to go along with 38 hits and 56 strikeouts on 147 at-bats. He will look to keep it going on Wednesday night against San Fran with Madison Bumgarner on the hill, with Alfaro going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts lifetime against the lefty.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
