Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook recorded his first point and goal for the team in Friday's 3-1 win over Columbus, opening the scoring with less than two minutes played. Rookie Andrei Svechnikov picked up his first NHL point on the goal with an assist. Martinook was very active throughout the night, managing three shots on goal, one block, and two hits. He ended up being one of the team's most played forwards, as Carolina spent a lot of time on killing penalties. 3:01 of Martinook's 17:04 minutes on the ice came during the penalty kill.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
