6 months agoWashington Capitals defenseman John Carlson registered a goal and added a power-play assist in his team's 3-1 defeat of the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. The 25-year-old also added two shots and a block in 25 minutes and five seconds of ice time in the contest. With the pair of points, Carlson now sits tied for the second in the entire NHL with 37 points (six goals, 31 assists) in 35 games this season. Having topped all defenseman with 68 points last season, this type of elite offensive production is nothing new for Carlson as he emerged as a top blueliner in all fantasy formats. He'll look to keep rolling in his next tilt against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
