After suffering his first career loss last weekend, San Diego Padres rookie starter Joey Lucchesi picked up his third victory Saturday night against the New York Mets. Spotted an early 10-run lead, Lucchesi was pulled after throwing just 79 pitches through five and 2/3 innings. The young lefty allowed two earned runs, four hits, two walks and fanned six. The prospect has arguably been the Padres best pitcher, sitting pretty with a 3-1 record, 2.78 ERA (3.15 FIP), 1.11 WHIP and 9.7 K/9. His ownership tag should continue rising and Lucchesi has earned at least streamer appeal in home starts (2.53 ERA). His next scheduled start comes against the Los Angeles Dodgers when both teams head down to Monterrey, Mexico for their historic series.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
