During qualifying for this week's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, Joey Logano obtained a starting position of 13th. This start position is the highest of Logano's Cup career at Dover since 2022, when the Next-Gen car was introduced. In 27 starts at DMS, Logano has 15 top-10 finishes, including five of the last eight Cup events there. Although none of them were obtained since the Next-Gen car was introduced. Through 10 races this year, Logano has three top-10 finishes and led in seven different Cup events. In practice, Logano had the fourth-best overall lap average and ranked eighth in five consecutive lap averages. Logano's Dover history is solid, but he has not finished in the Top 20 at the Delaware track since the Next-Gen car was introduced. Logano does not have the highest Place Differential upside because his starting position is toward the middle of the pack. Based on equipment, practice speeds, and 2024 performance this year, Logano is a driver usable in most formats as he is expected to finish around his starting position.
