New Jersey Devils left wing Jesper Bratt won't play in the team's season opener on Saturday against Edmonton after breaking his jaw in practice on Thursday. Luckily for the Devils, Bratt won't need surgery to fix the problem, but he's still set to miss a few weeks. Bratt had a good rookie campaign last season, recording 13 goals and 35 points in 74 games. Stefan Noesen is expected to be handed a top-six role in Bratt's absence, although the team also brought back Drew Stafford on a one-year deal on Friday. Noesen had a career-year in 2017-18 with 13 goals and 27 points in 72 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
