New York Mets outfielder Jeff McNeil hit his first homer of the season in a 19-5 blowout win over the Washington Nationals on Monday. McNeil went 2-for-5 with a triple, a homer, and three RBI to help power the Mets to the win. The veteran has logged just 12 at-bats in 2025 after spending the majority of the season on the injured list while recovering from a right oblique strain, but he's wasted little time catching up as he's hitting .333 with three RBI thus far. McNeil will look to stay hot as the Mets open up a series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.--Matt Terelle
