MLB.com's Bryan Hoch projects outfielder Jasson Dominguez to start in left field and bat leadoff for the New York Yankees on Opening Day in 2025. The Yankees could turn to Dominguez as the table-setter this year after they used seven players in the leadoff spot in 2024 -- mostly shortstop Anthony Volpe, who had 76 starts atop the lineup. Manager Aaron Boone thinks Dominguez's skill set will play well in the leadoff role because his mix of on-base ability, power and solid baserunning. The Yankees prefer to use both outfielder Cody Bellinger and infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. in the heart of the order, with Hoch projecting Bellinger to hit third and Chisholm in the No. 5 spot. Dominguez leading off would obviously be bad news for Volpe, who projects to hit eighth in front of infielder DJ LeMahieu. As long as he stays healthy, Dominguez should be a candidate for a 20-20 season, making him a top-40 fantasy outfield target.--Keith Hernandez
