Jameson Taillon On Track For 2021 Return
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) is on schedule to return next season after missing most of 2019 and all of 2020 while recovering from his second Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. The 29-year-old has been throwing the ball well and is very eager to get back into games. But with Pittsburgh going through a full-on rebuild, there's no guarantee that Taillon will be pitching for the Bucs next season. The Yankees are one of the teams rumored to be talking about the right-hander. Taillon would have a much better chance for wins with New York, but he'd also be pitching in a much more hitter-friendly ballpark and in a much tougher division. There shouldn't be any reason to reach for Taillon after he's missed basically the last two full seasons.
