James Tibbs III Performing Well at Double-A
James Tibbs III has been performing quite well during his first taste of Double-A action. On Thursday, Tibbs posted his first two-hit game at the level. During their game against Akron, Tibbs went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, two RBI, and a walk. Through three games with Double-A Portland, Tibbs has gone 3-for-11 (.273) and held a .385 OBP. Across 57 games, the former 13th overall pick posted a .246/.379/.478 line with 10 doubles, 12 home runs, three stolen bases, and an impressive 45:42 K:BB. The 22-year-old will likely spend the remainder of the season at the Double-A level.
