8 months agoSeattle Mariners starting pitchers James Paxton (illness) and Felix Hernandez (hamstring) will both rejoin the team and throw bullpen sessions on Friday before manager Scott Servais decides whether they'll start in the final week of the season. Paxton would like to get to two more starts to push his innings up to around 160 for the year. Both pitchers have been out since the first week of September, so they'll both be extra risky if they start next week, with King Felix being much more risky. Paxton has been the team's ace this year and has gone 11-6 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and career-high 11.6 K/9 across 26 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
