James Conner Doesn't Practice Wednesday
3 years agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner (ankle) did not take part in practice on Wednesday. Conner underwent an MRI exam on Tuesday and the team is calling him day-to-day for now, but a missed practice to begin the week isn't a great start. The 26-year-old scored two more touchdowns in the Monday night loss to the Los Angeles Rams and he has been a top-five fantasy RB in his first year in Arizona. Conner could be available this weekend in an excellent matchup against the Detroit Lions if he gets back on the practice field later this week, but he could also be joined in the backfield by Chase Edmonds (ankle), who is eligible to come off Injured Reserve. Even if Conner and Edmonds are both active, Conner will be at least an RB2 for fantasy in such a great matchup.
