Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jake Mangum (groin) left Wednesday's game in the fourth inning due to left groin tightness, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. He left the game after pulling up while running to first base. The extent of the injury isn't yet known, but more information will be available after he's evaluated further. He's been great so far in the early going of 2025, slashing .338/.384/.397 through 21 games. He hasn't homered yet but is a major threat on the base paths with eight stolen bases. Hopefully the groin issue doesn't impact that speed moving forward. UPDATE: Mangum will undergo imaging on Thursday to learn the severity of his left-groin injury. For what it's worth, Mangum isn't too concerned about the injury.--Jeremy Heist
