Jaguars Sticking With Mike Glennon As Starter
4 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars will continue to use quarterback Mike Glennon as their starter, even after his three-turnover performance in the Week 13 loss to the Vikings. Backup Gardner Minshew II said that he has pleaded with head coach Doug Marrone to put him back on the field after he was medically cleared from a thumb injury, but the Jags will continue to roll with Glennon for at least one more game. Marrone knows Minshew isn't happy, but he wants to see Minshew look better in practice before he considers returning him to the starting job. Minshew hasn't played since a loss to the Chargers on Oct. 25. He has 13 touchdowns and five interceptions, but he hasn't improved on his comfort in the pocket, arm strength or working the middle of the field. Jacksonville has just one win on the season and are expected to select a quarterback in next year's draft. Minshew is not the answer for your fantasy teams or the Jaguars.
