Jaguars Sign First-Rounder Travis Etienne Jr.
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to terms with first-round running back Travis Etienne on his four-year rookie deal on Monday, according to a source. Like fellow first-round quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Etienne (the No. 25 overall pick) will receive no offset language in his deal and a large amount of his signing bonus upfront. The Clemson product will have to share a backfield with James Robinson, but the rookie is expected to be the team's primary pass-catching back after he saw repetitions at receiver this spring. Etienne will also have to fight for snaps with Carlos Hyde, but his pass-catching upside in an improving offense will give him RB2 upside in PPR leagues.
