Jackson Kowar Can't Make It Through The First In His Debut
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jackson Kowar had an MLB debut to forget against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Kowar lasted just 2/3 of an inning, allowing three hits, two walks and four earned runs without recording any strikeouts. He was tagged with the loss as the Royals fell 8-3 in the game. The 24-year-old Kowar is one of the team's top pitching prospects. He had a 0.85 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over 31 2/3 innings at Triple-A this year. There's been no indication that the Royals plan to send him back down after his rough debut. As of now, he's set to make his second start on Saturday against the Oakland Athletics.
