Jac Caglianone Getting Promoted to the Majors
Jac Caglianone is getting the call to the major leagues, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. The pressure was mounting quickly for the Royals to promote the top prospect ever since he was promoted to Triple-A, where he launched six home runs in his first 11 games at the new level. The slugger is slashing .323/.391/.600 throughout all stops of the minors this season, and is going to add some pop to Kansas City's lineup. He is ranked as the 10th-best prospect in baseball by MLB.com, and his 70-grade power is what got him selected sixth overall in the 2024 draft. While he is primarily a first baseman, he should also see time in both corner outfield spots and designated hitter, since Vinnie Pasquantino is already holding down first base. Caglianone is a must-add in all fantasy leagues.
