8/31:Arizona Cardinals wide receiver J.J. Nelson could be one of the team's roster casualties as the team cuts down to 53 players. The team is expected to keep three quarterbacks on the roster, and it's possible they might keep just six receivers on the roster. WRs Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk and Chad Williams were rested in the preseason finale, and their roster spots are safe. Brice Butler is also believed to be safe, leaving perhaps just two spots remaining. Greg Little is attempting to resurrect his career, while rookie Trent Sherfield is also in the running for a job. Depending on which way the team elects to go, Nelson is believed to be on the bubble. He has went from fantasy sleeper last season to potential training cut casualty in less than a year.--Daniel E.
