Boston Red Sox designated hitter J.D Martinez will get Monday off, against the Toronto Blue Jays. In his place, Steve Pearce will DH and bat seventh against right-hander Edwin Jackson. Pearce simply hasn't been good in 72 plate appearances this year, slashing just .121/.183/.152 with two doubles and four runs batted in, leaving him off any DFS radar. Catcher Sandy Leon will share battery privileges with David Price and bat ninth.
