Tampa Bay Rays left-handed pitching prospect Ian Seymour continued his impressive start to the Triple-A campaign as he logged 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball on Tuesday in his outing against Nashville. In this start, Seymour allowed just four hits and three walks. He struck out nine batters. This was his third time this season tallying at least eight punchouts in a single start. Through 25 1/3 innings of work (five starts), the former second-round pick has held a 2.49 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP. Seymour has posted an impressive 35:7 K:BB but has struggled to keep the ball in the yard, as he has allowed four long balls. Seymour made his Triple-A debut last season and held a similar 2.33 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP across 54 innings of work. Fantasy managers in deeper AL-only formats should consider stashing Seymour, as he appears to be nearing his MLB debut given his increasing strikeout production.--Andy Smith
