The Colorado Rockies had a doubleheader on Thursday due to a rainout on Wednesday, and their young catcher Hunter Goodman caught Game 1 of the afternoon and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run scored, and crushed his fourth home run of the season off Kansas City Royals ace Cole Ragans. The home run was a two-run shot that gave the Rockies a 4-2 lead for the moment, before the Rockies coughed up the lead in the bottom half of that inning and eventually lost 7-4. The Rockies have gotten off to a rough start for the season (4-19), but Goodman has been holding his own, slashing .237/.326/.434 with four home runs, 10 runs scored, and 11 RBI on the season. Up next for the Rockies is a three-game series at home against the Cincinnati Reds, where there should be plenty of runs to be had, assuming the weather holds up.--Nicho Roessler
