Despite finishing 12th at Daytona, Ross Chastain's worst nightmare came true from a playoffs perspective as not only did he lose points to both Chris Buescher and Bubba Wallace, Harrison Burton's shock win made it far more difficult for Chastain and Wallace to advance to the playoffs as Chastain now sits 27 points behind Buescher for the final playoff spot, and Buescher is such a smooth and steady driver that he is unlikely to make a mistake at Darlington, a track where he is very strong. That means Chastain will likely have to win at Darlington to make the playoffs, and given his own record there along with his history of clutch performances, that certainly wouldn't be shocking. He is probably the only driver below the cutline with a chance to win-and-in at Darlington, but the Trackhouse Racing cars are probably too slow for him to do so.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
