New York Yankees left-handed pitching prospect Griffin Herring struck out 10 batters across six no-hit innings on Thursday evening. Herring served up just two free passes. This was his second time this season hitting the double-digit strikeout mark in a single start. This was also a nice bounce-back outing for the 22-year-old, as he has allowed two runs in each of his previous two starts. Prior to that minor skid, Herring held a stellar 0.60 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP across his first 30 innings at the Low-A level. During this stretch, Herring tallied 39 punchouts and allowed just 10 walks. Through 44 2/3 innings this season, Herring has held a 1.21 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP. Given his impressive debut at Low-A, the LSU product should be in the mix to join High-A in the coming weeks.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
